The new GoPro line-up adds a number of options to potential camera buyers
GoPro has unveiled a number of new portable cameras – including a new entry-level device.
The company’s new flagship camera is the GoPro Hero4 Black, which can record 4k video at 30 frames per second, 2.7K at 50fps or 1080p at 120fps.
It has Bluetooth and WiFi built in and is waterproof at up to 40m – all for €480.
For €100 less buyers can nab the Hero4 Silver, which has a maximum recording setting of 1080p at 60fps.
The Hero3+ Silver and Hero3 White will continue to be sold by GoPro – for €285 and €190 respectively – while a new entry-level device, simply called Hero, has also been added to the line-up.
The Hero will allow users to shoot 1080p at 30fps, or 720p at 60fps and can take 5MP photos at up to five frames per second. The device is still waterproof, though it sacrifices WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity as part of its stripped-down feature set.
Still, at a price of €125, it may prove an attractive offering for those looking to dabble in the creation of some high-end action footage.
