The Apple Store update that brought the new unibody Mac Mini has also given Irish users an interesting option – a sim-free 8GB iPhone 3GS.

The device costs €499 direct from Apple – €20 cheaper than the pre-pay version from O2 and Vodafone (though their versions are 16GB rather than 8GB).

The iPhone 4 is also now listed on the Irish Apple Store, though there is currently no pre-order option or price details for the device which will hit Ireland in late July. Strangely the iPad, which is due to arrive in this country around the same time, is still missing from the site.
