The Nintendo Wii has plenty of AAA titles lined up for the next 12 months
This evening is Nintendo’s turn at E3 and they’ve started their conference with a string of new title previews.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – a follow on from Twilight Princess utilising the Wii MotionPlus to allow for more accurate weapon control. Not due for release until 2011.
Mario Sports Mix – Similar to previous Mario Sport titles, though this one features a range of different sports including volleyball, hockey, dodgeball etc.
Wii Party – A ‘bridge title’ to bring users up to intermediate level from Wii Sports. Loads of mini games, perfect for parties as the name suggests
Goldeneye – a re-boot of the N64 classic, though using Daniel Craig as James Bond (instead of Ireland’s own Pierce Brosnan). To be available exclusively for Wii this Christmas.
Disney Epic Mickey – A game with a lot of hype around it, this is a custom-made Disney game with a darker and more stylised edge than you might expect.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn – A side-scrolling Kirby game where wool is used to make progress (makes sense…). Think Canvas Curse only different… due (in the US at least) this Autumn.
Metroid: Other M – The next Metroid boasting some impressive looking graphics. Due out (again, in the US at least) on 31st August.
Donkey Kong Country Returns – Another side-scroller said to be much like the SNES classic. Due out for Christmas
